Questions about Mira

How try-on works, what happens to shopper photos, and what it takes to set up.

Questions

What is Mira?
Mira adds virtual try-on and a stylist to a fashion store. A shopper adds one photo and sees eligible pieces on themselves on the product page. They can also chat or talk with a stylist in English or Arabic that searches the store's catalogue and adds items to the cart.
How does virtual try-on work?
The shopper chooses to try a piece on, confirms they are 18 or over, agrees to the consent notice and adds one photo. The piece appears on them, in their own photo, in seconds. The same photo works for every product that has try-on.
What makes a good photo?
One person, full body, in good light. Photos that fail the automatic safety check are refused, and the shopper can try another photo.
Does try-on show the right size?
No. Try-on images are AI previews to help a shopper decide. They are not measurements or sizing advice, and colour, fit and drape can differ from the real product.
What happens to shopper photos?
They are stored privately in Frankfurt, Germany (EU) and deleted 12 hours after upload, together with the try-on images made from them. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them and we do not use them to train AI models. Mira does not recognise people or create face templates.
Who can use try-on?
Shoppers aged 18 and over. They confirm their age and give consent before their first photo.
What can the stylist do?
It answers style questions, searches your catalogue for pieces that match and adds them to the cart. It checks stock first, so if a size or colour is sold out, the shopper is told and nothing is added.
Which languages does the stylist speak?
English and Arabic, by text or live voice. The Arabic experience is right-to-left from the start. Voice conversations are saved as text transcripts, and no audio is stored.
Which clothes work with try-on?
Products in the collections you pick that have a clear product image. Mira marks each product as eligible or not and tells you why. It handles abayas, kanduras, bishts, eveningwear and tailoring.
Do I need to edit my theme code?
No. On Shopify, Mira adds a theme app embed and a product block, so you do not touch theme code. You set the accent colour and where the stylist button sits in the theme editor.
How long does setup take?
Most Shopify stores are live in a few minutes: connect, import the catalogue, pick collections, turn on the theme embed, approve the consent notice and go live. The Shopify App Store listing is coming soon. Until then, email hello@meritt.dev and we will install Mira with you.
Which platforms does Mira work on?
Shopify stores install Mira from Shopify. It also works on Shopify headless storefronts, any website, iOS and Android apps, and any catalogue from a product feed or CSV, with the same plans and prices. Salla, Zid and WooCommerce are coming soon.
How do I see results?
The Mira dashboard shows try-ons, cart activity, attributed sales and sales lift for your store.
How much does Mira cost?
Plans start at $29 a month, with a 14-day free trial and no setup fee or commission. The pricing page has the details.
How do I get help?
