Set up Mira on Shopify

Mira runs inside your Shopify admin. There is no separate Mira login. Most stores are live in a few minutes.

Before you start

  • An Online Store 2.0 theme, such as Dawn. Older themes can use the app embed but not the product block.
  • Products with clear images.

1. Install and connect your store

The Shopify App Store listing is coming soon. Until then, email hello@meritt.dev and we will install Mira with you. Shopify shows what Mira can read, then Mira opens inside your Shopify admin with a setup checklist. Mira only reads; it never edits your store.

  • Products and inventory: to import your catalogue and know what is in stock.
  • Orders: to report sales from items shoppers added through Mira.
  • Themes: to check whether the Mira app embed is turned on.

2. Prepare private photo storage

Shopper photos are stored privately, never in public. Mira checks that this storage is ready. If the step is not ticked, choose Check storage.

3. Import your catalogue

Choose Import catalogue. Mira imports your products in the background and shows progress. Changes you make in Shopify later reach Mira automatically.

4. Choose collections and categories

Pick the collections and categories where shoppers can use try-on.

5. Review try-on eligibility

Mira marks each product as eligible or not and tells you why when it is not. Fix the reason in Shopify, or leave the product out.

6. Turn on Mira in your theme

  1. From the Mira checklist, open the theme editor.
  2. In App embeds, switch on Mira.
  3. Paste the publishable key shown in the Mira checklist. It starts with pk_.
  4. Open a product template and add the Mira: Try it on block, usually next to Add to cart.
  5. Save the theme.

7. Set appearance and language

Open Appearance in Mira to set the display name, logo, greeting, font and default language. The accent colour, the stylist button and its position, and whether the stylist shows on mobile live in the app embed settings in your theme. Mira supports English and Arabic, including right-to-left layout.

Read the consent notice in the checklist and tick I approve this exact consent notice for my store. Shoppers see this notice before their first photo, and you cannot turn it off. Mention Mira in your store's privacy policy; you can link to ours.

9. Test and go live

Open a product from an eligible collection in the theme preview. Choose Try it on, add a photo and check the result, then ask the stylist a question. When you are happy, publish the theme and go live from the checklist. Try-ons, cart activity and attributed sales start showing in your Mira dashboard.

Uninstalling

Uninstall Mira from your Shopify admin. Mira stops on your store straight away and your store data is erased 48 hours later. The app embed and block disappear from your theme with the app.

Troubleshooting

Mira does not show on my store

  • Check the Mira app embed is switched on and the theme is saved and published.
  • Check the publishable key matches the one in your Mira checklist.
  • If the stylist button is missing, turn on "Show the stylist button" in the app embed.
  • If the stylist is hidden on phones, turn on "Show the stylist on mobile".

A product is not eligible

Open the product in Mira's catalogue view to see the reason. Make sure it is in a collection you picked and has a clear product image.

A shopper's photo was rejected

Mira works best with one person, full body, in good light. Photos that fail the safety check are refused. Ask the shopper to try another photo.

Out of stock

Mira checks stock before adding to cart. If a size or colour is sold out, the shopper is told and nothing is added.

My product changes have not appeared

Changes usually reach Mira within a few minutes. A large first import takes longer. If a change is still missing after an hour, email us.

Try-ons have paused

You have used this period's allowance, or the trial's 100 images. On a paid plan, upgrade in Shopify or wait for your next billing period. During the free trial, new try-ons resume when the trial ends and your paid plan starts. Existing results and the cart keep working.

A try-on failed

The shopper sees a short message and can try again. Failed attempts never use a credit. If it keeps happening on one product, email us with the product link.

Billing and cancelling

Charges appear on your Shopify bill. Change plans inside Mira in your Shopify admin. To cancel, uninstall Mira.
